It’s already a great line. With Janelle James’s impeccable delivery and timing, it becomes brilliant.

And because this is LI, there’s a lesson here, too. We all have a lot more latitude than we think to do the things we want to do in the way we want to do them.

Will some amorphous “they” let you be a thought leader? No. Go be one anyway.

Are startup gatekeepers going to let you be a founder? Maybe not. Go do it anyway.

No, you don’t have to. But you can.
